It seems strange to call a major development in Austin uncontroversial, but it looks like a proposed 39-story tower at Fifth and West streets just might be

City Council is set to weigh in on Austin-based Riverside Resources' proposed high-rise residential tower at Fifth and West streets at its upcoming May 22 meeting. So far the project looks like it won't face much opposition

So far, reservations about the project seem more centered on the city's process for granting additional entitlements than the project itself

The planned tower at 718 W. Fifth St. would bring a 162-unit, 430-foot-tall tower to the current home of the Texas Press Association
