Affordable housing project opens in East Austin

Anderson Village, a new affordable housing project, officially has opened at 3101 E. 12th St. near the MLK MetroRail Station

The $2.8 million project was a joint venture between the Anderson Community Development Corp. and the Austin Housing Finance Corp., the affordable housing arm of the city of Austin

The 24-unit complex is reserved for Austin residents who earn at or below the federal guidelines for 60 percent of median income, or less than $46,920 annually for a family of four

Prak Property Management Inc. handles property management and leasing

McKinney York Architects handled the design of the project and Bailey Elliot Construction was the contractor
