Apartments, retail space under way near West Fifth

What: Pressler, a five-story apartment and retail project.
Where: 507 Pressler St. at West Fifth Street
When: Construction is under way. Preleasing of the 168 apartments is slated to begin in late January, with the first tenants moving in next spring. Leasing also is under way for 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
Who: Gables Residential and Capital City Partners are building the project. Jason Faludi of Aquila Commercial is handling the retail leasing.
Details: The Pressler is one of three projects under construction on West Fifth west of Lamar Boulevard. Combined, they will bring more than 300 apartments, new retail space and a new office building to the area between Lamar and MoPac Boulevard (Loop 1).
