Austin Corporate Gaming firm snags more capital

- Bigwig Games Inc. reported raising $30,000 of a planned $250,000 financing

- The Austin-based company launched by serial entrepreneur Gary Hoover collected the capital from three investors, according to a filing this week with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

- Bigwig Games, which launched in 2012 as Stratipad Inc., is Hoover's fifth company. The startup plans to create games that simulate different industries and can be played on tablet computers such as the iPad

- Hoover is the founder of Bookstop Inc. and Hoovers Inc., among others. He was also the first entrepreneur in residence at the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas
