Austin-based Asure Software said Monday it has acquired Baltimore-based software company Roomtag for an undisclosed price

Roomtag develops software that helps businesses manage people, space and assets. It also lets users locate staff members, work and meeting spaces and resources

Marcia Hart, CEO of Roomtag, will join Asure’s consulting team

“Roomtag’s solutions are a perfect complement to Asure Software’s solutions… This acquisition allows us to add highly visual, advanced asset management, occupancy management and move management capabilities directly to the Asure product line,” Asure Software CEO Pat Goepel said in a written statement. “As the workplace and the workforce become increasingly mobile and global, Asure will be at the forefront of providing solutions to help organizations worldwide to effectively manage people, space and assets.”

The deal is Asure’s second acquisition this year. It previously purchased FotoPunch, and incorporated its technology into Asure’s work management product software

Asure, a 150-employee company, specializes in workplace management software. The company opened new offices in Dubai and Singapore in July. Asure is scheduled to report its second quarter earnings on Wednesday
