Dos Rios Partners LP, an Austin-based buyout firm, has surpassed its first fund goal by $75 million

The Austin-based firm has announced reaching $225 million for the fund that was established last year with a plan to reach $150 million. The additional capital enabled Dos Rios to enlist two more investors

Dos Rios, which was founded in 2013, employs nine workers. It plans to invest $5 million to $15 million in portfolio companies in a variety of sectors — from retail to manufacturing, said Baskin who launched the firm with partners Kevin Benoit, Wayne Patterson and Jay Turner

The final amount was the maximum allowed by Dos Rios and it’s expected to enable each of the firm’s two-person investment teams to complete four buyout deals apiece, Partner Bo Baskin said Monday

In addition to its Austin headquarters, Dos Rios operates offices in Houston and Dallas
