Austin law office adds 3 partners

Baker Botts LLP has announced the promotion of three lawyers – Mollie Duckworth, Joey Gray and Evan Young – to partners at the firm’s Austin office


Duckworth represents companies involved in mergers and acquisitions and issuers and investment banking firms involved in public offerings and private placements, according to a statement from the law firm


Gray handles intellectual property matters, with a focus on patent litigation, the announcement said


Young focuses on trial and appellate litigation, and has experience arguing cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of Texas, according to the statement


In all, Houston-based Baker Botts announced 13 new partners for 2014 across its offices. The law firm has 700 lawyers working out of 15 offices worldwide


The Houston Business Journal also reported this week that Baker Botts has named a new partner in charge to oversee the Houston office
