Austin mobile app firm seeks strategic partners after capital raise

Mobile application developer Malauzai Software Inc. has completed a $3 million Series B round of financing.

Officials at the Austin-based company said Friday they’ll use the capital to ramp up mobile banking programs for community financial institutions and seek strategic partnerships. It also plans to expand its mobile product offerings.

Malauzai didn’t disclose the investors that participated in the funding round.

Malauzai Software, which launched in 2009, develops mobile applications for community banks and credit unions. In 2011, it came out of stealth mode after more than a year of testing and relocated to Austin from California. It now employs 35 workers and claims 170 clients.

In April 2012, Malauzai Software said it had completed a $2.3 million Series A round of funding
