Austin remote network software maker raises more capital

Software maker Uplogix Inc. reported completing a $2.8 million financing


The Austin-based company collected the capital from 24 investors, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission


The filing is an update to February filing in which Uplogix reported raising $2.4 million of a planned $2.7 million financing from four investors. It sold $2.1 million in promissory notes and $295,000 in Series F warrants


Uplogix, which was founded in 2003, develops remote network management applications


The financing is the latest in a series of capital raises the company has reported to federal regulators in recent years. Investors have included Citigroup Inc., Pennsylvania-based Adams Capital Management and Houston-based Fayez Sarofim & Co.
