Austin's Silverback completes seventh acquisition

Silverback Enterprise Group Inc. has continued its merger-and-acquisition strategy by buying a Massachusetts-based software company


Austin-based Silverback revealed Wednesday it has acquired data management software maker Kalido Inc., marking Silverback's seventh acquisition since launching in 2010. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, officials said


Kalido, founded in 1997, employs 100 and operates offices in London and India. It will remain as its own brand


Silverback has rolled up five software companies with backing from Austin Ventures LP under the Upland Software Inc. brand that has 250 employees


In June, Silverback acquired Washington State-based business intelligence software maker Noetix Corp. for an undisclosed amount. Noetix, which was founded in 1996, employs 150 workers
