Austin technology sector veteran Joel Trammell has launched a business management software company

Trammell, also chairman of the Austin Technology Council, said the company, known as Khorus LLC, provides CEOs with a system to operate their companies. The company employs 10 workers

The company is funded with $1.5 million provided by P180 Investments, Trammell’s personal investment fund. Trammell is also a partner in the Lone Rock Technology Group

In October, the Austin Business Journal posted a slideshow of Khorus' mansion-style offices that had been previously on the market for $1.2 million. At 8012 Bee Caves Road, the property was built by a developer in 1996 and includes nine offices, two conference rooms, two bathrooms, a 1,400 square foot garage and additional parking

In late 2012, Trammell’s Austin-based data storage company CacheIQ Inc. agreed to be acquired by California-based NetApp Inc.(Nasdaq: NTAP)

CacheIQ was founded in 2010 when it bought the intellectual property of Austin-based Storspeed Inc. CachedIQ employed 14 workers in 2011. The company, which developed a network resident caching solution for file-based storage, completed a $6 million Series A round of financing from 27 angel investors in 2011
