Austin website publisher SpaceCraft has merged with local digital design and marketing firm Element Creative and plans to expand its operations

SpaceCraft CEO Adam Moore said the merger will allow the new combined company (which will be called SpaceCraft) to grow quickly with the new talent.

“Our business has been on fire as of recent and we really want to blow it out and scale the business,” Moore said.

The combined company will have 18 employees and Moore said he could see adding more than 10 new employees over the next year

SpaceCraft’s software builds websites for small businesses and currently powers more than 1,000 websites for restaurants, musicians, fitness studios and business professionals, among others

Moore has a long relationship with Element founder Dan Isaacs. Most recently the two founded the digital marketing agency Springbox, which was sold last year. Element was founded in 2011 and has worked with brands like Adobe and Evernote

“This merger is a perfect fit for both our teams,” Isaacs said. “SpaceCraft and Element Creative share the same focus on innovation and creating world-class products. Joining forces will allow us to continue these goals in a really exciting, fast-growing space. I can’t imagine a better culture fit for our company - we all work really hard and have a great time while we’re at it.”

In addition to hiring additional staff, the new company will seek larger office space and possibly raise additional capital
