Dallas-based Main Event Entertainment, which operates a family fun center in Northwest Austin, is eyeing a site near I-35 and Onion Creek Parkway in South Austin for a second facility

Apparently no land deal has been signed, but the company has retained Foremark Real Estate Services, also in Dallas, to conduct more due diligence on site selection. Company officials said they are planning to build a 57,000-square-foot entertainment facility in South Austin

Main Event currently has 12 locations in Texas and one in Tempe, Ariz

All locations offer bowling, billiards, laser tag, dining options and bars. Some sites have indoor rope courses, rock climbing and miniature golf

In a news release, the company said it plans to double its portfolio by 2015
