Energy software maker Bractlet raises capital

Energy monitoring software maker Bractlet Inc. reported completing a $300,000 financing


The Austin-based company collected the capital from seven investors, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission


Bractlet, which was founded in 2011 by a team of Georgia Tech engineers, is developing monitoring and analytics technology for solutions in the energy efficiency market. It plans to “make energy waste a thing of the past,” according to the company website


Last year, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported that Bractlet developed a system designed to enable hotel managers and guests to monitor room energy consumption. The startup was once part of the Greenhouse Accelerator program at the Green Chamber of the South, which provides up to $50,000 in seed loans and mentoring
