Experiment Engine completes seed financing round

Experiment Engine Inc. has completed a $1 million seed round of financing.
The Austin-based company, which launched earlier in the year, plans to use the capital to expand its product coupled with sales and marketing initiatives. Investors included New York- and Massachusetts-based Founder Collective, Houston-based Mercury Fund and two angel investors, according to a company statement released Tuesday.
Experiment Engine developed a mobile optimization platform designed to enable companies to conduct A/B tests through a marketplace of conversion experts. CEO Claire Vo said the release the platform is geared toward marketers who always want to be testing the effectiveness of their campaigns.
It's unclear how many workers Experiment Engine employs. Vo couldn't be reached for comment.
Experiment Engine founders participated in the TechStars Austin program earlier this year. Angel investors included BuildASign Inc. CEO Dan Graham and Indeed.com co-founder Rony Kahan.
