Fallbrook Technologies raises $8.3M

Fallbrook Technologies Inc., a Cedar Park-based energy management technology company, reported raising $8.3 million in debt financing out of planned $20 million financing round, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The company collected the capital from 12 investors


The company's flagship product is its NuVinci continuously variable transmission technology that can improve the performance and efficiency of electric vehicles and bicycles. In April, the company named Robin Grey as its new chief financial officer


Fallbrook Technologies, founded in 1998 as Motion Systems Inc., moved its headquarters from California to Cedar Park in 2012. It employs about 115 workers in Cedar Park and 151 nationally. It also operates offices in Europe and China
