Food retailer My Fit Foods, which sells healthy pre-packaged meals, has moved its headquarters from Houston to Austin, company officials said

The move occurred in September and the company currently has about 30 employees working at its new headquarters at 5000 Plaza on the Lake

“Austin is a wonderful place,” said founder and CEO Mario Mendias, a former personal trainer. “It’s one of the fittest cities in the entire U.S., it’s got a booming economy and the talent pool here is just amazing.”

Since its formation, My Fit Foods has grown to more than 70 locations nationwide

As My Fit Foods expands, the company plans to make 20 more hires in Austin, including in corporate and retail positions. The company has five more locations opening this year nationwide, then a minimum of 15 next year
