Austin-based developer Forestar Group Inc is looking to Nashville, Tenn., for its next multifamily apartment complex

The company is at the planning stage for a 230-unit, five-story apartment building – so far dubbed the Music Square Flats – in the Music Row area, according to a report from The Tennessean

Before the project can go forward, the developers need to have a zoning change approved

The company is also in the process of building another 320-unit apartment complex in West Nashville

Forestar Group (NYSE: FOR) is not alone in bringing development to the Music Square area of Nashville. According to the Tennessean, there are at least three other large multifamily developments under construction or in the pipeline in the area, including a 194-unit apartment complex planned by Dallas-based Phoenix Property Co.
