When Paul Arcediano’s Rockin’ Ride – a disco-themed party bus – first hit the streets of Austin a decade ago, he says he had no idea he’d laid the foundation for a thriving transit company that would grow to have more than 100 limousines, town cars, sport-utility vehicles, vans and buses

Today, R&R Limousine and Bus holds contracts to shuttle visitors for some of the region’s biggest events, including South by Southwest, the Austin City Limits Music Festival and Formula 1 racing, in addition to handling the transportation needs of a variety of Central Texas businesses

Annual growth has hovered near 30 percent to 35 percent for each of the past five years, Arcediano said. It’s been a bit overwhelming, he said, but in a good way

In 2012, R&R had more than 200 drivers, Arcediano said, and an office staff of almost 30 employees – and those figures continue to rise. The company, for instance, will be adding temporary drivers for F1 weekend to once again ferry visitors from their hotels to the Circuit of the Americas complex

In between landing new contracts – the company recently inked a deal with the W Austin Hotel, Arcediano said – R&R has also been spending millions to upgrade its fleet
