Thomas Kiraly has been named an executive vice president of Hanger Inc., and will become the orthotics company’s chief financial officer in the fourth quarter of this year. Kiraly is the former executive vice president, CFO and treasurer of Sheridan Healthcare Inc

The move is coming about because of the previously announced retirement of current Hanger CFO George McHenry, effective Dec. 31

Sheridan reached $1 billion in sales while Kiraly was part of the company’s executive team, and during his 12 years as executive vice president of Concentra Inc., that company reached $820 million in sales before it was acquired by Humana Inc. In May, health care facility operator Amsurg Corp. said it would purchase Florida-based Sheridan in a cash-and-stock deal worth about $2.3 billion

Kiraly holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor of arts in speech communication from California State University in Northridge

Earlier this month Austin-based Hanger promoted comptroller Melissa Debes to the position of chief accounting officer, with a salary of $300,000
