Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE: WRI) has purchased one of the largest retail centers in Austin — the 350,000-square-foot Mueller Regional Retail Center

Built in 2007, the center near I-35 and 51st Street was developed by California-based Catellus Development Corp. and later sold to Phoenix-based Cole Real Estate Investments (NYSE: COLE) in 2010

Houston-based Weingarten did not disclose how much it paid for the center, though that information likely will be disclosed in future filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, since both companies are publicly traded

The center includes The Home Depot, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, Staples and Starbucks
