Kinnser Software Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired California software maker ADLware Inc

ADLware, which launched in 2010 in San Clemente, Calif., develops private-duty home care software and has 10 employees

The deal is expected to enable home care providers with multiple lines of business to choose a single software partner, allow agencies to expand offerings and provide more services, according to a company statement. Kinnser will market the newly acquired product line as Kinnser ACL. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed

Michael McAlpin, ADLware founder and CEO, will assume a new role as Kinnser's vice president of business development

Kinnser Software, founded in 2003, develops home health care software for more than 1,700 home health agencies and hospices nationally. The company moved to Austin from Houston in 2007 and now employs 170 workers

In 2012, Kinnser reported revenue of more than $12 million. It ranked No. 12 on the Austin Business Journal’s 2013 list of fastest-growing companies with more than $10 million in revenue

In March, Kinnser Software hired veteran financial executive Brian Thomson as chief financial officer. He previously held several finance positions during 10 years at San Antonio-based Rackspace Hosting Inc.
