Genome sequencing software maker Lab7 Systems Inc. reported increasing to $130,000 the amount it has raised toward a $400,000 financing goal

The Austin-based company collected the capital from eight investors, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

The filing is an update to a July filing in which Lab7 reported raising $60,000 of the planned $400,000 financing from three investors

Lab7 Systems, founded in 2011, develops a scientific workflow management and analytics software platform for the next-generation sequencing market, CEO Chris Mueller has said. It employed seven workers earlier this year

In March, Lab7 Systems completed a $500,000 round of financing from 16 investors, SEC filings show. The Austin Business Journal has reported that Mueller planned to begin beta testing the software in preparation for a trade show launch in April
