An Austin entrepreneur is developing a mobile application designed to enable food shoppers to eat better while saving money

Lauren Foster, the CEO of Stretch Recipes Inc., is raising capital for the application that generates a shopping list using discount coupons based on the budget amount and recipes entered into the application

Foster, a Chicago native, launched on July 15 a crowdfunding campaign to raise $25,000 on Indiegogo Inc.'s website. The campaign has raised $3,700 and expires Aug. 14

Foster was previously a partner for CatFoster Media LLC, an Austin-based mobile games development and publishing company. Before that, she was a sales representative for Meritage Homes

In June, Stretch Recipes won the TechCrunch Audience Choice pitch contest in Austin. It’s now scheduled to participate in the September TechCrunch Disrupt event in San Francisco, Foster said
