Mobile payment company Mozido Inc. reported raising $30 million of a planned $70 million financing

The Austin-based company collected the capital from five investors, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Mozido, which was founded in 2008, develops cloud-based mobile payment systems and marketing software. In January, the company relocated to the Austin area from Dallas after it acquired Cedar Park-based PagoVision Inc. At that time, Mozido officials said the company would continue to operate its Dallas office where it would keep 10 people to focus on finance and administrative work

Mozido officials planned to move the majority of its operations and 35 employees from Dallas to 1601 S. Mopac Expressway to enable the company to grow and expedite the widespread adoption of mobile payment technology

Last month, Mozido announced an undisclosed amount of an investment from businessman Adolfo Salume to implement a mobile payment system in El Salvador designed to provide a range of marketing, retail, and banking opportunities for the unbanked and under-banked population
