New Austin firm offers international expansion guidance to U.S. companies

FDI Advisors, an Austin-based economic development and promotion consultancy, with global affiliates in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, is helping U.S. companies develop international business operations by promoting foreign direct investment
The company his wholly decentralized with its three main partners residing in Austin and Los Angeles. The company, which provides international expansion guidance to U.S. companies, was founded by Matthew Julian and Christoph Besmer, who are both industry veterans
With a small research team in the U.S. made up of three people, FDI Advisors has affiliates in San Francisco, India, China, Netherlands and Germany. Business is conducted virtually or at client locations onsite. All employees work from home or at shared office spaces, according to co-founder Julian. He works from a home-based office in Southwest Austin
"Many fast-growing companies do not possess the time, knowledge, or other resources required to determine how and where to establish international operations that are optimized both operationally and fiscally, and provide for future stability, scalability and sustainability," Julian said. "We have structured our services not only to be highly effective but also to ensure they are financially very accessible as well"
