Prominent Austin real estate attorney Steve Drenner and his team have formed a new real estate-focused boutique law firm, Drenner Group PC, that will specialize in land use, entitlement issues and incentive requests

Drenner has left Winstead PC, where he had worked since 2011 as the head of the entitlement team at the firm's Austin office. Former Winstead attorneys John Donisi and Katie King Ogden have also left to join the Drenner Group. Prior to Winstead, Drenner worked at the firm Drenner & Golden Stuart Wolff LLP

Drenner has worked on legal issues for some of Austin's most prominent developments, including the Frost Bank Tower, the W Hotel and the Grayco South Shore District redevelopment. He was also the founding president of the Real Estate Council of Austin

Donisi, who joined Winstead in 2011 after working with Drenner and Ogden at Drenner & Golden, has handled projects including the 10-acre Oak Creek Village in South Austin. Donisi has also served as chairman of Envision Central Texas and as president of the Heritage Society of Austin

Ogden has also served as chief of staff for Texas State Senator Jeff Wentworth and as general counsel for the Jurisprudence Committee of the Texas Senate

Amanda Swor, senior project manager, will also help launch the Drenner Group, along with Steven Rye and Jewels Watson
