L&M Supply Co., a company that specializes in products used to control erosion, said it will build a distribution center in San Marcos
Willacoochie, Ga.-based L&M currently employs 12 in San Marcos, south of Austin on I-35. The company is expected to grow to 20 with the expansion, according to a spokesman for the Greater San Marcos Partnership
L&M will lease a 40,000-square-foot distribution center at 126 Texas Ave. and occupy two of the three former Philips Wide-Lite buildings on the site
L&M did not disclose whether it would be making an investment in the property, the partnership spokesman said
"Our region's strategic location in Central Texas and the proximity of the oil fields of south and west Texas, coupled with the tremendous amount of commercial and resident development occurring here makes San Marcos an excellent choice for L&M's new distribution center," said Will Conley, chairman of the partnership, in a statement.
