Several Austin-area companies land spots on Aggie 100 list

A total of 10 Austin-area companies were named to the 2014 Aggie 100 list

Through the awards, Texas A&M University's Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship in the Mays Business School recognizes the 100 fastest-growing Aggie-owned or -managed businesses in the world. The companies are ranked by compound annual revenue growth from 2011 to 2013

To qualify, companies must be at least five years old, have revenue of $250,000 or more for 2011 and have operations consistent with the Aggie Code of Honor. Additionally, from January 2011 through December 2013, the company must have met one of the following leadership criteria:

  • A Texas A&M University former student or group of former students must have owned 50 percent or more of the company,
  • A Texas A&M University former student must have served as the company's chief executive (for example chairman, CEO, president or managing partner), or
  • A Texas A&M University former student must have founded the company and been active as a member of its most senior management team
