Autotask Corp., a New York-based business-management software developer, has finalized its acquisition by Austin-based private equity firm Vista Equity Partners, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Autotask, based in East Greenbush, N.Y., also collected $99 million in equity financing from five investors, according to the federal filing

The regulatory filing states the $99 million was collected in connection with the Autotask acquisition, but it remains unclear how much of the capital was brought in as a result of the acquisition

On June 9, Autotask announced its decision to be acquired by Vista Equity Partners for an undisclosed amount, according to the Albany Business Review, an affiliated publication. Vista Equity is a private equity firm with about $11.5 billion cumulative capital commitments in technology-enabled businesses. Autotask employs more than 300 employees globally and about 150 employees at its East Greenbush headquarters

Late last week, Vista Equity Partners also acquired Baltimore-based software development firm Social Solutions Global Inc. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed

Vista Equity Partners has offices in San Francisco, Chicago and Austin. Officials with Vista Equity Partners or Autotask could not be reached for comment, however, the investment by Vista Equity will enable Autotask to expedite its product roadmap, Autotask CEO Mark Cattini told MSPAlliance in June
