Software development firm Quotient Solutions Inc. is releasing its first software package this week, part of a suite of tools targeting the trade show industry

The Austin-based company has developed a workflow management software called SpeakerStack designed for presenters and trade show organizers. The software provides a virtual space in which users can upload material or connect to online storage tools such as Dropbox, Box and Google Drive

The suite of software is being developed after Quotient Solutions became familiar with industry issues while working with several clients in the trade show industry. The result is a hybrid company that develops its own product as well as customer software for clients, CEO John Curtis said

Quotient Solutions, founded in 2000, disclosed plans to establish a product division two years ago. It formed Quotient Labs LLC to serve as the products arm of the overall company that employs 30 workers; eight in Austin, and 22 in Russia, Curtis said

Developing its own suite of products in combination with its custom development projects is expected to grow Quotient Solutions beyond the boutique developer category, Curtis said

“I think this project will get us far more growth and [to] the $5 million a year [in sales] mark,” he said. “This will make us a more sustainable company.”
