A Virginia software company is expanding its operations in Austin. Vienna, Va.-based Personify plans to grow its local technology center from 28 workers to 100 workers by the end of 2015, the company said Tuesday

Personify, which provides software for groups such as national associations, will expand here in hopes of capturing some of Austin’s high-tech workforce, said company president Eric Thurston, who is based in Austin

The Austin offices will act as an operations center for the firm, Thurston said

The company’s growth is another reminder of robust job market in the Austin area, as employers continue adding jobs at a brisk pace and keeping up with strong population growth

Personify, whose client list includes the Girl Scouts and the American Bar Association, is a 17-year-old company that was acquired by California private equity firm Rubicon Technology Partners last fall

The firm will be hiring for product developers, human resource workers and other positions over the next year, Thurston said. The company will add 10 workers next week, hit 50 workers later this year and continue expanding to 100 employees by the end of 2015

Thurston estimates of the 100 workers, 80 percent will be hired locally. The company has offices on River Place Boulevard near RM 2222, and will expand to a building within its office complex for its new technology center

Personify has three locations, including offices outside Chicago, Ill. It employs more than 200 workers overall
