Software maker Affinegy Inc. has reported receiving a $300,000 financing

The Austin-based company collected the capital from a lone investor, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Affinegy, founded in 2003, develops software designed to enable users to link Web-based devices with televisions. The company employed 25 workers in 2011

It sells its software through Internet service providers such as Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) and Cablevision Systems Corp. (NYSE: CVC). Subscribers install the software to connect their personal computers to set boxes to synch and share content

Last year, Affinegy acquired for an undisclosed amount TR-069 ACS Solutions, a portion of Dallas-based Sagemcom USA LLC.

The acquisition increased the number of Affinegy employees by 40 percent and added two new locations, an engineering and business operations group in Dallas, and a customer support, quality assurance and interoperability testing group in Poland, officials said at the time
