Software maker Apptive active on financing

Mobile application platform developer Apptive Inc. reported collecting a $650,000 financing


The Austin-based company plans to use the capital to expand existing partnerships with other companies and work to form additional partnerships in the ecommerce business. Its software, called EasyApp, is designed to enable small online merchants develop mobile applications, CEO Chris Belew said


The funding increases to more than $1 million the amount of investment capital Apptive has raised since launching. The most recent funding’s lead investor was San Antonio-based Barshop Ventures, Belew said


Apptive, which was founded in 2011, develops a Web-based platform designed for creating and managing mobile applications. It employs four workers


In June, Apptive reported raising $399,999 of a planned $750,000 financing from eight investors, according to a filing with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission


Last year, the company reported receiving $303,000 of a planned $400,000 financing from seven investors, including members of the Central Texas Angel Network. Apptive subsequently raised the remaining $97,000, Belew said


Belew previously co-founded Fusion Mobile, a platform-as-a-service company. He was also a software developer and consultant in Accenture PLC’s (NYSE: ACN) technology and telecommunications practice, according to his online profile
