Incent Games Inc., a sales contest software maker, has completed a $1.5 million Series A round of financing

The Austin-based company, which last month reported increasing the funding round to $750,000, collected the capital from ATX Seed Ventures and the Central Texas Angel Network — both of which are based in Austin. Incent Games plans to use the capital to accelerate marketing, sales and customer support, CEO Adam Hollander said Monday

Incent Games, which launched in mid-2013, develops software called FantasySalesTeam that operates sales contests for employees. It employs 20 workers, Hollander said

FantasySalesTeam costs $20-$35 per month for each user. The concept is designed to fuel sales by asking sales people to compete against each other, he said

The startup has attracted more than 100 client companies — including tech giant Hewlett-Packard Co. — and released its second version in April 2014

At that time, Incent Games completed a $640,000 seed funding from 10 investors, an SEC filing shows. Investors included Austin-based Marvel Venture Partners LLC, the company said
