St. David's expanding ICU north of Austin

St. David's Georgetown Hospital is embarking on a $6.6 million project to expand its intensive care unit starting this summer

When complete in 2015, the ICU will have expanded from 2,200 square feet to 11,500 square feet. It will have nine critical care beds, including two isolation rooms, along with significant medical technology upgrades and its own waiting room

The expanded ICU is designed by Austin-based SchneiderHALLS Design, an architecture firm that focuses on health care industry clients
