Taylor Morrison Home Corp. is making another major play in the Austin market with the announcement that it is creating another master planned community in Round Rock

The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based homebuilder late last year purchased 475 acres at the northeast corner of North A.W. Grimes and University boulevards

The land previously belonged to Ruben and Joyce Greinert, the Avery Ranch Co. Ltd. and various trusts owned by Avery family members

Taylor Morrison will build about 1,200 homes across six product lines. The name of the development is Vizcaya and should be open for sales by the end of the year

Taylor Morrison recently announced the homebuilders that were  chosen to participate in Travisso, a 2,100-acre master planned community it is developing with Toll Brothers Inc. in Leander

In addition, the company is building homes in nearby Crystal Falls, also in Leander, as well as Steiner Ranch, Reunion Ranch near Dripping Springs and Ladera and Sweetwater near Bee Cave
