Tesla filled in another missing piece in the Texas supercharger grid this month by opening another free station in Columbus just west of Houston

The station has six charging stalls located at 2535 Texas 71 in Columbus. It’s the third station in Texas and the 27th in the country

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Tesla opened a charging station last month in off Interstate 35E in Bellmead just north of Waco in September. The first station opened in San Marcos off I-35. Two more stations are planned along I-45 in Corsicana and Huntsville

Tesla’s long-term goal is to build solar panels for the charging stations to take them off the grid
