Texas continues 10-year unbeaten streak as best state for business

Texas has continued its 10-year unbeaten streak at the top of Chief Executive magazine's ranking of the best and worst states for business


Texas has held the top spot every year since the ranking was unveiled 10 years ago


The Best & Worst States Survey polls CEOs on a number of critical business measures, including taxes and regulations, workforce quality, and quality of life. More than 500 CEOs took part in the 2014 survey


Texas took the top spot again for booming 4.8 GDP growth, low unemployment, growing population and low taxes


While Texas' unbeaten streak continues, Chief Executive magazine notes that Florida, ranked second, has done a lot to catch up recently, "overtaking Texas in it quality-of-living environment," according to the report
