USA Compression posts strong Q4 earnings

USA Compression Partners LP reported Tuesday a fourth-quarter profit of $4.4 million, or 12 cents per share, on revenue of $48.6 million, compared with a profit of $948,000 on revenue of $31.7 million during the same period in 2012

For the full year, the Austin-based company posted a profit of $11 million on revenue of $152.9 million versus a profit of $4.5 million on revenue of $118.7 million in 2012, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

USA Compression (NYSE: USAC), founded in 1998, is a provider of natural gas compression services. It services businesses in 13 states and employs 240 workers

The company completed its initial public offerin g in January 2013 and replaced its chief operating officer in July

In August 2013, USA Compression agreed to buy $187 million of the assets owned by Oklahoma-based S&R Compression LLC and financed the deal through the issuance of about 7.4 million shares of USA Compression stock
