Website to help tech startups about to launch in Austin

Austin technology entrepreneurs have another online tool to help them connect with local startups


Chicago-based Community Ventures LLC is scheduled to launch Tuesday BuiltInAustin.com, the fourth such website in the Built In franchise. The company already operates them in Chicago, Colorado and Los Angeles, Director of Operations Elyse Kent said


Each website includes job listings, news updates, tech-related data reports and a function that enables users to post their profiles and resumes, she said


Community Ventures, which was founded in 2011, employs six workers and it’s planning to hire an Austin-based director. The company is scheduled to launch additional Built In websites in New York, San Francisco and Seattle by the end of 2015, Kent said


CEO Maria Katris previously founded Nanny Boutique, a Chicago-based nanny placement agency, which she sold within years. Before that, she was a strategic analyst for Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a consultant at the Huron Consulting Group, both of which are based in Chicago, according to Katris’ online profile
