WhiteGlove Health Inc., an Austin company that connects doctors with patients either at work or home, has acquired Columbia, Maryland-based Glenridge Health Solutions for an undisclosed amount, WhiteGlove announced Monday

The company will finalize the transaction by end of June, making Glenridge Health Solutions – a consulting, technology and professional services firm targeting the health care industry – a wholly owned subsidiary of WhiteGlove Health

Out of the 80 Glenridge Health employees, about half work at the Columbia office. After the acquisition, the Columbia office will be maintained and there are no plans to reduce staffing

Glenridge President and CEO Terry Spoleti will assume the role of chief innovation officer and join WhiteGlove Health's board of directors. Both companies will continue to operate as before, under the same management and remain headquartered in Austin and Columbia respectively, the statement said

"The WhiteGlove Health, Glenridge partnership is founded on the principal that both organizations have very ambitious goals and collectively will be able to open doors to new opportunities," said WhiteGlove Health CEO Nicholas Balog in a statement. "This is a new chapter as we continue to pursue much needed meaningful and sustainable change in health care."

Balog joined WhiteGlove Health as CEO in September 2013 after serving as vice president at Washington, D.C.-based Advisory Board Co. (Nasdaq: ABCO). Founded in 2006 as WhiteGlove House Call Health Inc., WhiteGlove Health raised $1.4 million of a planned $2 million round of financing in June 2013 and now employs about 70 workers
