Breast cancer research and awareness is a cause close to the company’s heart, as the firm has two breast cancer survivors on staff, as well as family members and friends who have been impacted by breast cancer. Kristi Svec Simmons, a principal with AQUILA, is an 11-year breast cancer survivor; Kathleen Brennan, a marketing coordinator with the firm, just celebrated her two-year anniversary of being cancer free.
