Today AQUILA Commercial, a leading commercial real estate service provider, announced that former Texas Longhorns basketball player and staff member Will Wyatt will join the firm’s investment sales team, working on office, land, mixed-use and multifamily real estate transactions. His initial focus is site acquisition for one of his largest clients, Aspen Heights, an Austin-based builder and developer of multifamily and student housing across the United States.
This move marks a jump back into real estate for Wyatt, who, since 2012, has worked as Special Assistant, Operations for The University of Texas at Austin’s men’s basketball team. He brings over 8 years of commercial real estate experience, starting his career with The Staubach Company (now Jones Lang LaSalle) in Austin where he initially served as Director of Market Research before transitioning into a brokerage role. During his time with Staubach/JLL, he did tenant representation work, performing site selection, acquisitions, dispositions and strategic analysis for corporate clients. He also took part in prominent investment sales transactions, land investments and multi-family projects in Austin and Dallas. Notable projects included: acquisition of the Robert Shaw Columbus Realty Partners multifamily site at Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas; strategic analysis for Stratford Land Company; eMD’s sale/disposition of their headquarters in Austin, Texas; and site selection for a UT Southwestern Medical facility in Dallas, Texas.

Wyatt graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003 with a BBA in Finance and completed his Master’s degree in Sports Management in 2005. While earning his degree at the University of Texas, he served as a Student Assistant Coach for the men’s basketball team and joined the team on the program’s trip to the NCAA Final Four in 2003.
