Austin, TX —

Velocity Credit Union today announced that it has closed on Quarry Lake Business Center in Northwest Austin, where it plans to eventually relocate its corporate headquarters.

“We are very excited to take this step, which not only allows us to build a brand new branch for our downtown location, but also provides the opportunity for future growth,” said Debbie Mitchell, Velocity CEO.

Quarry Lake Business Center is a 117,000-sf, Class A office building located at 4515 Seton Center Parkway. The property is situated off Braker Lane, between The Arboretum and The Domain.

The company will move into the building as space becomes available, beginning by occupying a full floor in May 2019.

Velocity Credit Union purchased the property from Riverside Resources in an off-market transaction. Michael Murphy, Jay Lamy and Andrew Reue with AQUILA Commercial represented Velocity Credit Union in the transaction, and Jeremy Smitheal and Win Smith with Riverside Resources were involved with the sale.

Velocity Credit Union’s current headquarters is a 40,000-square-foot office building at the northwest corner of 11th Street and Sabine Street in downtown Austin. The credit union is currently in negotiations to sell the property.

The credit union will maintain a branch presence at the downtown location.
