Conclusion

Though the downtown area will continue expanding, the influx of companies relocating to be part of Austin’s growth story may decelerate as well. The downtown area’s evolution will continue, but at a less frenetic pace than the breakneck development of the past decade. While the existing pipeline of high-quality, centrally located projects promises to further shape the city, fewer new buildings are expected to deliver in the coming year. This slowdown reflects trends in the maturing Austin market.
