Evonik, one of the world’s leading specialty chemicals companies, acquired Austin-based 3D printing start-up Structured Polymers in 2019. AQUILA’s tenant representation team helped the company secure a new lease at Southpark Commerce Center V. This first-generation shell space was perfect for Evonik to customize to fit its needs.

AQUILA’s project management team worked closely with the Evonik team and engaged KDS architects to design and build out a purpose-built facility. The space was constructed as approximately 40% open and private offices in the front, with space for assembly and laboratory needs in the back. This enables Evonik to have an organized space for business activities and meetings as well as a separate area for manufacturing, research and development, logistics, and shipping. Evonik’s build-out was completed on time and on budget, ensuring a smooth transition into its new space.
